Three Startup Exits

Three sectors, three roles, three acquisitions design had a direct hand in each.

Three sectors, three roles and three acquisitions by design.

Across three different sectors, in three different roles, the businesses I've helped lead design for have gone on to be acquired: DFP by Chubb, Dem DX under a confidential exit, and My Online Therapy by Mindler.

The sectors couldn't have been more different. Insurance risk, NHS-accredited healthtech, and mental health therapy don't share customers, regulation, or business models. What they share is a moment where design stopped being a delivery function and started shaping the direction of the business itself, whether that meant bringing empathic thinking into a trade that had little use for it, prototyping an entire product suite to win the contracts that took a company from three people to over a hundred, or building the retention and partnership work that made a therapy platform attractive enough to buy.

All of these things happened because the businesses became something a larger company wanted to own, and design had a direct hand in getting them there each time.
